This is not a project I expected to create. I really hate where AI is going. I firmly believe it to be destroying art and humanity. I decided to make this project because AI isn't going away. I saw an opportunity to create art out of a mess (per usual), and I seized that opportunity. This is my reclamation of art. As expressed in some of the lyrics I penned on this project, this is my rebellion. When I found out that you can generate AI songs, I was upset. I was crushed. I was frustrated. I figured that I could give this a try, and it surprised me. I didn't think this would do anything other than water down the art I work so diligently to create, but it actually challenged me to think and create outside the boxes that I know. I prompted the AI to create styles of songs that I resonate with so I could salvage as much authenticity as I could. Though I will likely never create (or lack thereof) music in this way ever again, I'm glad I gave this a try for sake of pushing the boundaries of creativity. I actually had to produce quite a bit (including adding beats, snares, hi-hats, synths, layers, arrangement, etc.) to turn these into viable songs. This reminded me of my purpose and skill as an artist. I also used AI to help me create the artwork as well as my graphic designer and myself. I think that despite my initial discomfort, this was an important project for me to make. I learned a lot about myself somehow. I intentionally added a backslash between the words in the title because to me, AI is the artificial, and I'm the intelligence. This project truly feels like a collaboration between myself and AI. I hope y'all enjoy this project and appreciate it for what it is.
